WebOct 18, 2024 · The balance of the most significant changes to Australia’s competition laws in over 40 years have today been passed by the Federal Parliament. The changes are a response to the recommendations of the Competition Policy Review in 2015 chaired by Professor Ian Harper (Harper Review). WebThe Harper Review adopted a sensible and constructive approach and we support fully the wish of the current government to ensure that there is a sensible approach to removing artificial barriers to competition based on State interests and ‘prejudices’ and that competition policy should apply uniformly across the whole country.
